Youth Ministries at First E.C. Church 

A fun place where children & youth get to know God in a personal way that will serve them the rest of their lives! If you are interested in participating in any of these activities, contact the church office at 838-3758.

Children’s Church

This is an exciting time of worship specifically directed toward children four years of age through fifth grade. This time consists of praise & worship singing, games, object lessons, drama, and puppets; all structured around a Biblical focal point. Children’s church runs concurrently with our 10:10 Morning Worship service. Children meet briefly with the adults and are dismissed for their special service after the children’s message.

Good News Club

This Sunday evening ministry is directed toward children from four years of age to fifth grade. The Word of God is brought to life through song, Bible stories, puppets, crafts and games. There is also a missionary focus presented at each club meeting. This Good News Club opportunity is made available during our evening worship time beginning with it's annual Celebration Kick-Off on Sunday, November 21 at 6:30 and continuing once a month (on the first Sunday of the month) starting December 5.

Vacation Bible School

Although this ministry only takes place one week out of the year, it is an exciting time for students to become involved. Sharing a biblical message through song and drama, children from kindergarten through eighth grade have opportunities to take part in crafts and recreation. The high point of the week is the last night when parents come to join in the fun as the children show them what they have learned. Our excellent volunteer staff are committed and dedicated to presenting the Gospel message to children.

R.A.D. (Read Ask Do)

This is a serious Summer Bible study for children who have completed third, fourth, and fifth grades. It is held at 6:30 on Sunday evenings during the months of June, July, and August.

C.R.E.W. (Christ’s Radical Emissaries to the World) 

This is a youth ministry reaching out to 6^th to 12^th grade students so that they can be equipped to Know, Grow, and Show: To know Christ, to Grow in Christ, and to Show others who Christ is. The C.R.E.W. takes time to meet on a weekly basis for Youth Fellowship as well as Bible Study. Other opportunities include retreats, mission trips, concerts, lock-ins, all-nighters, and various other activities throughout the year. *Call the church office for study location.

Youth Fellowship

YF is a time of just hanging out, sharing, praying for one another, praise singing, Bible devotional, and recreational time for students 6^th-12^th grade at 6:00 Sunday evenings from September to May.

Jr.& Sr. High Youth

This weekly Bible Study is available for Junior and Senior High students on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in various student homes. This is a time to focus more deeply upon the Word of God. Junior and Senior High youth takes place from September to May.

Hang Time

Summer can be very hectic for students as they juggle work, camps, vacations, and fun. When school is out, Hang Time begins – a relaxed time for 6th-12th grade students to get into the Word Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00.
